LLOST's Candle Lighting/Bell-Ringing Ceremony

LLOST held a Candle-Lighting/Bell-Ringing Ceremony in December 2007. We had a great showing of people who were suffering the loss of a loved one. Everyone held a lit candle and were given the opportunity to say anything they wanted – share a memory, read a poem, etc. As the names of our lost ones were read, we rang a bell followed with a moment of silence. The ceremony ended with a light reception where immediate support was shared and friendships were formed.

The LLOST Foundation understands that the feeling of comfort comes from remembering our loved ones together. This event happens in conjunction with the The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting Event.
